A little bit about our raw material suppliers...

In today's post we will explain a little more about raw cashew nut producers that meet our demand for raw material.

For us at Onvit, it is extremely important to maintain a prosperous and long term relationship with our raw cashew nut suppliers, as our company does not own any farm, we depend on partnerships with raw material producers to be able to continue our production process.

We work with several different producers who have farms all over the north and northeast region of Brazil, but our biggest partners of organic products are in Beberibe/CE, there in the immense lands of Pimenteira farm, we have 4 big suppliers, where they are certified as organic producers.

Joining the entire Pimenteira farm complex, its total area is practically equivalent to the size of the city of Amsterdam in the Netherlands, so you can get an idea of how big the farm is. The culture produced there is only cashew apples, where at harvest time the producers wait for the cashew apples to fall from the trees to be harvested by manual picking.

The cashew harvest period goes from August to January, where we, during this period, receive the largest quantities of cargo coming from producers. The sizes of the raw cashew nuts (RCN) are varied, being able to be both small, generating as final product W1-320, as well as large, having as finished product a SLW1-180 or W1-240.
